The Monkey Mind

The Monkey Mind Behind every successful " The Monkey Mind " man, there exists a stalwart woman; she may be his doting mother or his dearest wife or the supportive girlfriend, or any female or a team of females related to him by blood or by marriage or friendship, who wiser beyond her/their years looks after him as long as he could remember. Perhaps it is vice versa for some, but it is another story not for the author to tell. Well, "The Monkey Mind" is mentioned in the middle path i.e. Buddhism, "Such is the state of monkey mind defined by restlessness, confusion, and indecisiveness" The focus of such state of mind is on the uncontrollable aspect of the living, which is further elaborated with the quote; "no man with The Monkey Mind is controllable until he is married off or is in a sincere relationship". Then the creature is tamed, for better or for worse. After marriage or when engaged in a sincere relationship that ties the everlasting knot, &

Entrepreneurship Spirit in Social Work

(PC:  https://www.orfonline.org/expert-speak/how-nepal-has-tried-to-tackle-the-covid19-pandemic-66173/ )     In Nepal , as we are going through the second phase of lockdown, social work is indispensable more than ever. For individuals, families, and communities across the nation, there is a need for immediate assistance which the government has sadly been unable to be responsible for. What it could only do is keep people hostage in their own homes while the ruling government can centralize more authority and power in its grasp. Even though I am not a political animal, I could perceive the frustration evident in the minds of both apolitical and political communities. Needless to say, it is not only important for those of the native origin but also to those people who are willing to be part of social enjoyment of a unique cultural experience that is not their own just for the sake of celebrating, just for the sake of being in the moment. In the Nepalese context, Dashain , as well as Tihar,   is one of the most important ones (not only for bei

What makes Nepal beautiful

Image
The Himalayas have always stood tall and firm, and likewise, Nepalese people from time immemorial have shown their unshakable pride by wearing the typical Dhakatopi which represents the majestic natural phenomena for which Nepal is known worldwide. Likewise, the Light of Asia, the historical Buddha; Gautama was born in the once beautiful garden of Lumbini of Nepal which is one of the holiest places of Buddhism. Furthermore, the rich bio-diversity, cultural heritages, and the unique lifestyles of the Nepalese people living together as a melting pot bring a spontaneous charm that is rarely seen elsewhere.   However, it is not the high mountains, nor the famous holy places like Lumbini which makes Nepal so beautiful, it is the people, the warm smile so often mentioned in most of the travelogue of travelers, that makes it so. In other words in the modern terminology; hospitality. Smile is the universal language transcending continents and barrier of nationality/culture/language. The
