What makes Nepal beautiful
The Himalayas have always stood tall and firm, and likewise, Nepalese people from time immemorial have shown their unshakable pride by wearing the typical Dhakatopi which represents the majestic natural phenomena for which Nepal is known worldwide. Likewise, the Light of Asia, the historical Buddha; Gautama was born in the once beautiful garden of Lumbini of Nepal which is one of the holiest places of Buddhism. Furthermore, the rich bio-diversity, cultural heritages, and the unique lifestyles of the Nepalese people living together as a melting pot bring a spontaneous charm that is rarely seen elsewhere.
However, it is not the high mountains, nor the famous holy places like Lumbini which makes Nepal so beautiful, it is the people, the warm smile so often mentioned in most of the travelogue of travelers, that makes it so. In other words in the modern terminology; hospitality. Smile is the universal language transcending continents and barrier of nationality/culture/language. The people who often are met by such travelers are often living in the rural areas, often marginalized or uneducated and yet their smile is the warmest for it comes from the depth of the Nepalese heart. The hospitality is ingrained in the very soul, as said: ""Atithi Devo Bhava" in Hindu holy scripture which means the guest is god. And to welcome guests is to welcome god.
Furthermore, every day is a new discovery, from the exquisite cuisine of Nepalese kitchens to the peaceful scenery of rural life. Rather than the modern life of urban, the villages and trails around the rural periphery offer what it means to discover Nepal. Ghandruk, Magargau, and other villages offering homestay services as well as the experience of the day-to-day life of Nepalese people make the guest at home. Nepalese typical cuisine Dal-bhat-tarkari, as well as deddo-sisnu-chicken soup, are served almost throughout these villages as well Nepal. The Nepalese consider food and eating as divine and so food is eaten with immense joy and also served with great delight.
Besides that, the Sherpas of Nepal represent the mountaineering adventure as it is considered climbing to be in their blood. They risk their life for the sake of expeditions from mountaineers around the globe. When the mountain is mentioned, the name of Sherpas always crop up and it is due to this very good reason; from making way up to the dangerous peak to carrying indispensable life-saving food, fuel, and equipment, they do their best to make such expedition successful. They are friendly, brave, and strong-willed people living on the foothills of Qomolangma, "Mother Goddess of Earth."
So, what makes Nepal beautiful is people, for without people and hospitality the Himalayas stay in solemn silence, the Safari just lethargic, tours unbelieving long and boring ...
