The question of man and god
If man is created by the great divine, the god
almighty in his image, then... obviously the same man as we can conclude should
be gifted with similar attributes of the god himself. Those attributes then
could be as gentle like that of Mother Teresa or pacifistic as of Mahatma
Gandhi or even could be attributed to that of the all forgiving son of god,
Lord Jesus himself who suffered for mankind, suffered from mankind and
ultimately pleaded to his father, the god almighty himself for their
deliverance (though i am not Christian it can be speculated as such). Whereas
we also could suppose that those attributes could include that of the great dictator
Hitler who was widely known to be the chief architect of one of the saddest and
most horrible event ever to occur in the human history; The Jewish Holocaust or
even if we go back simultaneously and include on of those collective
atrocities; the lowest of low brutalities and human degradation as performed by
then home-sick, over-patriotic, and cruel Japanese soldiers during WWII
stationed in Nanking, Korea and many other defeated countries where Japanese
with impressive small military force subjugated the populous native people of
those regions. In the entire human history, man has fought with un-match-able
vigor and lust against his own kin for resources, prestige/ego and all those
things that he deems to be valuable in the possession of those others that he
wants to have but couldn’t have without applying brute force. He conquered
those other people, sold them as equal to domesticated animals, plundered the
sweat and blood earned wealth of those very other people so that he could raise
himself, his status, his wealth, his power in the society he lived. Then, the
man in the image of god, is he not cruel, is he not puffed up by prejudice that
none other than he himself had created? How can he, the omnipotent, omniscient
and omnipresent god could let all these people murder each other, slaughter a
whole tribe of those other people, or crush freedom as is the birthright of
each individual in the name of a lofty ideology whose value has no significant
importance to raise the people from the degradation that he has initiated? Yes,
in one hand, the initiative to so called correction to his psyche seems to be
good but looking at the big picture without the limited rigid vision of his
particular ideal, does he the conqueror has even the right to decide the fate of
people who are in their own are driven by different set of value s than he
himself is. The all-powerful man may believe and he surely does, that the
ultimate result is all that matters and wherein those particular others are the
ones who are responsible for the current degradation of the perfect nation
preventing him to use his power to create the perfect world, he is bestowed to
do so... but is it in fact that true? Could it also not be that every person,
every community is similar as him trying to do their best from their stand
point of view for their people and protecting their people from other
people. The point is that no one
civilization envisioned by man is free from the blood shed or atrocities of the
darker sides and to amalgamate the perfect man as by the will of the perfect
god is near to impossible but not that impossible if we look towards the future
not befuddled in the murky past. What we need is a place, a time and relentless
effort to begin and end with and to understand not with the use of weapons of
mass destruction which man has created far more perfectly than his wildest
dreams could conceive, what he must do is go beyond them using concrete
dialogues that is to be heard and spoken honestly, simply and without personal
agenda associated or any prejudice he personally has whatsoever as well as the
people on the round table.
We have to understand, if god is so powerless to
change such brutal man, then how can man change man and also how could anyone
ever even imagine the circumstance the subjugated man is going through? Gandhi
may with his non-violence movement have brought peace by reclaiming the
mother-land away from British Raj but he also divided India further into India
and Pakistan into the two bi-polar so called god worshiping identity of Hindu
and Muslim countries... Also martyrdom of Martin Luther King Jr. the famous
orator for black equality along with white; all is still been naught as controversial
in the Oscar Ceremony 2016. There are things god if he really exists could have
prevented if the people who are living in his image couldn’t. So like Nietzsche
had advocated there comes automatically the existential question of god’s origin
identity and purpose i.e. god is dead? Like really truly dead? Broadly contemplating
much, it simply is obvious, suppose god gave the key of man’s destiny to
himself his own destruction or triumph by his own hand. Then, the destruction initiated
by Hitler as quoted by himself is it the expression of the deep seated human-
hatred for Jews by his so called Aryan race including is it the salvation of
Jesus in his ability to forgive or more precisely his unconditional love
towards the humanity as whole including those who crucified him on the cross
despite the mortal suffering he had to go through. Humanity is therefore either
doomed by its own creations or is saved by his understanding of what it’s like
to be on the other side of the gun barrel as of the losing side. Even if god is
almighty as many believers believe, could he really recreate man again and
re-experiment until he gets his hand on the most perfect man as perfect as
himself who will inherit the universe and rule it without the narrow
possibilities which today's man is so fallible to and is compromised by his
decision which in short term is beneficial but in the long-term
counterproductive towards his existence? The speculation is endless. Thus, we
can only hope one-day man will be as wise as the perfect god unlike the
imperfect divine which I had so arduously mentioned above and with his powerful
faculties change himself, his ways and all that his senses can perceive to
create a perfect world free from
atrocities like his ancestors had committed to make him stand where he will be
one day, not to judge the people by their history or ideology they are forced
to follow or are freely following but
stand unchallenged by the narrow selfish confining conscious of past towards
the united compassionate conscious that wills for good of all living and those
who are/aren’t alive anymore.
